My New Blog

For my birthday my parents decided to let me have my own Gmail account.  Because of this I am going to make a new blog so I won't be piggybacking off of my mom's account, and I won't have to wait for her to put her password in every time I want to make a new post.  I'll put the link to it on my "Other Cool Blogs" list.  I am also going to change the title of this blog so I can keep "Who Knew I Was So Awesome" for the title.  Thanks for reading!

The Update (Don't Know Whether Weekly, Monthly or Yearly)

Once again, I have gone a whole month without posting. Sorry! It's been a long time since I got up to the computer. I need to keep posting or your realization of how awesome I am will fade! I was going to say that I will post once a week, but then I went two months without posting. So much for that goal. Sorry about that.

OK, let's move on. Dad got to visit yesterday on Friday morning through noon today and it was fun! We got to play some board games and video games with him. I'm glad he at least gets to visit while he's on business.

I wrote a paper a while ago and I thought you might like too read it. Dad said at first he had thought that I took some of it out of a different book. But I didn't. So here it is.

Amy looked down into the fog. “How did I get myself into this?” She asked herself. She risked a glance behind her. He was getting close. There was no escape for her now. Amy jumped from the cliff. Falling through eternity she braced herself for the water and hoped she would survive. She hit the sea. Splashing and coughing she tried to make out her surroundings. Her vision was clouded but she thought she could see land. She immediately started swimming. About fifteen minutes later she reached the shore. Tired and physically spent on the cold bay, she fell asleep.

Two Days Earlier

Seth and his friend Cooper were walking to lunch at their high school. Both in 10th Grade, and in most of the same classes the next-door neighbors had quickly become friends as the school year had flown by.

Now, already, it was the second-to-last day of school and the two friends were talking about their plans.

Seth was going to get his driver’s license on the first day of summer vacation, and just in time for his mom, Amy, to go on a business trip to Washington D. C.

Seth wasn’t sure why, but he had overheard his Mom telling his Dad, Vand, that she was doing something about the “…vermen….B.I….cret ser…”

Seth hadn’t caught everything.

He hadn’t told Cooper what he had heard through his parents door either.

He was going to San Francisco with his family for two weeks as soon a his 10-year-old sister’s piano lessons ended, which would be a few days after school ended.

Seth had reached the cafeteria and stopped to wait for his friend, who apparently had gone all dreamy as soon as they had passed a popular girl named Emma.

The two friends ate lunch, went to the rest of their classes, and Cooper managed to turn in a paper that was at least going to get him a C-.

The next day they went through their daily routine, math first, then social studies, science, eat lunch, computers, they split up then, Seth would spend his free period playing football, while Cooper went to writing.

Then Cooper would spend his free period playing soccer while Seth went to Art, and then they would reunite for gym, and go back to homeroom until the day ended.

Plus, since their homeroom teacher was really nice, they got donuts to eat on the way home.

Only because it was the last day of school, though.

Seth lived just a couple blocks from the high school, so he would walk home, and Cooper lived next to him so they both walked together.

He had never seen it before, but there was a tiny engraving on the back window of his Mom’s blue Subaru.

“Hey, Cooper, check this out.” Seth called. “Look,” Seth pointed. Cooper got in real close and squinted.

“It looks like an eagle, and some words surrounding it. I think it says ‘Property of Mr. T. P.’? I’m not sure.”

“Here, let me see.” Cooper moved out of the way as Seth got closer. After a few seconds of squinting Seth reported, chuckling “Yep, I think that’s what it says. Hmm. Who’s ‘Mr. T. P.’?”

“I don’t know. I’m a Sophomore, not a detective.” Answered Cooper rather in a voice that sounded like he was trying hard to suppress a laugh. “Just forget it. It’s probably not important. Well, see ya around.”

“See ya,” Seth called as Cooper left to his house. Seth turned and went to his own house, and as he walked in the door he called “I’m Hoooooooooome.” Something he had started doing in the first grade and hadn’t even noticed how he had never failed to do it since then. Seth’s Dad hurried to the room.

“Hi son, your Mother had an unexpected call and had to leave early. Hey, isn’t your Driving Test today?”

“YA!” Seth answered, with a sudden burst of excitement. “Not so loud,” His Dad hushed. “I’ve got a nasty headache, the kind that noise makes worse.”

“Sorry.” Seth answered. “Anyway, I should go get ready for the test. Homework stuff, you know.”

“Do I ever.” His Dad answered with a slight grin. Seth smiled, then turned and headed upstairs. When he got to his room he noticed a note on his pillow. It read:

Seth,

I’m sorry, but I had to go. Part of the company is complaining, so my boss asked me to help sort things out. Of all times, right before your Driving Test! The boss was kind of upset so I had to hurry. See you soon, and good luck on your test. I may be gone a couple of days. A plane will probably fly me home around Thursday.
See You Honey,
Mom.

Seth looked at the note again. He turned it over to see if there was anything on the back. Then he noticed a tiny scribble in the bottom corner of the back.

“1st Word every sentence”

What was that supposed to mean? He looked at the note again. “First word every sentence.” Hmm. He decided to read the first word in every sentence, because that was the most obvious thing, and the only thing that he could come up with. He read the first word of every sentence aloud. This time it said:

I’m part of the C.I.A.

The Update I Know At Least One Person Is Reading

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't posted for a while. I think people either forgot about blogging for a good six months, (very likely) or you kinda gave up hope on me updating my blog, (also very likely). I put up some updates and waited for people to respond so I would know that I wasn't wasting effort by writing something that no one would ever read. Finally, Stace left a comment, and that told me that at least someone was reading. And now I'm updating my blog.

Sadie has started walking and as soon as she realized she could go a little way, she didn't stop! After falling a lot, (and catching herself), she got the hang of walking and I doubt she'll ever crawl again.

We had an awesome Christmas! On Christmas Eve we went to Grandma and Grandpa Barrowes' house. It was a blast! We each got some matching pajamas ( BYU for the men, just plain pink for the women, transformers for the boys, and cute yellow and pink outfits for the little girls). We played Apples to Apples, had a LOT of desserts ( Or at least I did) and the kids got a new set of toys to share at their (Or maybe I should say our) grandparents house (They are called Widgets)

New Years was sweet! We went sledding with Logan to start our day.

After we went sledding we went to our grandparent's house where we spent the rest of the evening playing Scum, Apples to Apples, and having a blast! I've already created some awesome designs with the widgets, including a big hammer held together by four tiny diamond shapes.

Meanwhile at home we've been working on our basement creating the wonderful TV room that we've (60% is my dad) always dreamed of. Unfortunately, right in the middle of the project dad has to go on a 3 month business trip. He would've been laid off, but since they liked what he did so much they gave him a chance to keep his job. But it still stinks that my dad has to go at all, and even worse in the middle of his dream project. We already miss him even though he's only been away for a week. A moment of silence for our beloved father. . . Sad huh? But at least he's allowed to visit! Plus, before he went, he made us a computer model of what we wanted the basement to look like before he left. Here are some pictures.

That was the update. Thanks for finally reading!
